My Intention is Your Interpretation: An interactive therapy

This is an experiment to represent some ideas in Roland Barthes essay "From Work to Text". I have presented here an HTML page (incl. some JavaScript) which acts somewhat like a fortune teller, or a magic eight-ball. This would also be like using Tarot Cards, the I Ching, reading the Tea Leaves, or Astrological signs to interpret some past, present or possible future conditions.

I've often thought that the power of these divination methods depend on the personal interpretation of the readings by the subject. Based on a place and time of the readings, and inspired by random, loosely meaningful symbols, the subject applies his or her own personal situation to these symbols and derives a specific interpretation.

Now, think carefully of some issue that has been worrying you for a while, stare into the crystal ball, and click on the button "My Intention" to retrieve a random quote available for "Your Interpretation".
